With an increasing number of case reports on exploding batteries, the FDA is seeking information during a science-based public workshop to be held on April 19-20, 2017 at the FDA White Oak Conference Center, Silver Spring (MD). Four axes will be explored:
- Current ENDS Design and Associated Risks
- ENDS Design for Risk Control
- Battery and Non-Battery Concerns Related to ENDS Failures
- Communication to Consumers and the General Public
Registration is free and open until March 17, 2017 for the workshop or its live Webcast. Updates will be posted on the FDA’s Meeting and Conference page.
Note that a docket will be open to leave written comments.
