Composed of the Air 50S TC electronic box and the Smokjoy’s Air Tank, the Air 50S Micro Kit is compact. The box is 61 mm high and 34 mm wide. Its format is just a bit smaller than Innokin’s Cool Fire TC. The Air Tank is not longer than 44 mm for a conventional diameter of 22 mm. The whole weights 103 g and can be carried out everywhere without worrying.
Two modes: Power and Temperature Control
Don’t trust the description made by the manufacturer, the 510 pin is not on spring. The LED screen is strangely located on the side of the box but the Fire Switch and the two setting buttons, on the edge, are not tinkling. Two modes are available, Power and Temperature control in Ni, Ti and SS316. However, I had issues with the latter. I have been unable to adjust the power and to lock the resistance in the TC mode. I recommend to use only the Power mode.
A perfectible finish
Overall, the kit proposed by Smokjoy doesn’t inspire quality. The electronic box Air 50S saves the honour of the brand but the materials used for the Air Tank conduct the heat. One Pyrex tank broke when I tried to remove it from the base and the Micro-USB pin is defective and cannot be inserted into the plug. In addition, the cable included in the box is too short (a bit more than 30 cm).
Proposed online at about 40 €, Smokejoy’s Air 50S Micro kit is perfectible. At a similar price, competitors like Vaporesso with its Target Mini kit are offering a much better hardware
