Forget oils, tinctures and capsules. Leave your gummies at the door. If you want to take CBD, vaping is the latest craze. Ingesting CBD via a vape actually makes a lot of sense, as it is a far faster and more effective way of getting it into the blood stream than the oral or topical alternatives.
As a result, there are dozens of people trying a CBD vape for the first time every day. That in itself has led to a few unfortunate consequences. If you’re new to the world of CBD vaping, keep the following in mind to avoid making any rookie errors.
Any oil won’t do
CBD oil is great for taking as a tincture, and you can even put a few drops in your cup of coffee. But please don’t try to vape it. When you’re looking through the top CBD oil products online, make sure you buy CBD vape juice and nothing else to go in your vape pen. If you try to vape regular oil, all you will do is wreck your vape pen and waste the oil, with potential risks for your health. It might sound obvious, but this is the most common rookie CBD vaping blunder of them all.
Avoid nicotine
Everyone knows the risks associated with nicotine in tobacco smoking , and we won’t go into those here. Vaping is, however, for consenting adults, just like smoking, so if you have a nicotine habit, you might be tempted to try the CBD / nicotine blends that are appearing on the market. Our advice is to give these a miss. Rather than give you the best of both worlds, the nicotine just degrades the CBD. If you want to vape both, that’s your choice. But like chili and ice cream, they are best indulged separately.
Big isn’t always beautiful
What is better, a 10ml bottle of 2.5 percent CBD concentrate or 100ml of 0.25 percent concentrate? Sitting here looking at your screen, it’s easy to spot they both contain 25mg of CBD, one is just more concentrated than the other, but strange things happen to people when they are in a retail environment. From a vaping perspective, higher concentrations are better, so don’t go looking for the biggest bottle you can find, it will only end in disappointment.
Get the right kit
If you’re already accustomed to vaping, you might think trying CBD is no big deal. Be careful, you’re setting yourself up for a rookie mistake of your own. CBD juice is more runny than other types of vape juice, and that can take first-timers by surprise. If you’ve got one of those vaporizers with a big tank, think twice before you use it for CBD, as there’s a good chance it will just pour out of the vent holes and make a mess. It’s worth investing a few dollars in a proper starter kit, or buying a pod-style vape to use exclusively for CBD.
Keep the above points in mind, and you should have a CBD vaping experience that you will remember for all the right reasons.
