Ultra precise
The 510 connector is sealed into the atomizer. You adjust the air flow with a screw that’s surrounded by a seal. Although you can just about unscrew this central part, the Kayfun Lite [plus] is completely sealed. The main advantage of the atomizer is the new option to adjust the air flow, but you can only do this on the base. It is extremely efficient and precise to use.
The Kayfun Lite [plus] has very few components. Even so, it is still very precise. The tanks it comes with are held between two metal parts. Surprisingly, there are no seals at the bottom or top of the tanks. But what surprised us most was the lack of leaks or seepage when we used it – there were absolutely none. The fit is perfect and doesn’t need any other parts to create a perfect seal.
There are two drip tips in the box. One is metal and shorter than the other, which is plastic. They are both 510s and suitable for indirect inhalation. They are perfectly tight and you can use either depending on your own preferences.
The air intake to cool the coil is unique. Located on the bottom of the atomizer, the air flow redirects the air along a channel that runs directly under the coil. This air intake is fixed, but you can still adjust the air flow. Everything happens under the atomizer, thanks to the Aerokon system. We will come back to that later. It’s got a lot of positives, but there are some downsides too.
The kit also includes a second tank. This is a bonus – there’s a lot packed into the box. This extra tank is completely transparent, and boosts your e-liquid capacity from 3.5 to 5 ml for the 24 mm version.
To fit the tank, you have to screw a small extension onto the upper section of the chimney. The machining is perfect and the addition of a seal guarantees perfect tightness. A metal ring engraved with the manufacturer’s logo completes the set and hides the drip tip seals. It’s a small detail, but it shows how much care the brand has taken with the look of its products.
You fill it from underneath by unscrewing the tank. Four large openings mean you can easily use any drip tip you like. The various threads are really well-finished, so there’s no friction or noise.
Flavour on the menu
The assembly plate is simple – two diagonally opposite posts hold the coil. Despite the size of the atomizer, there’s enough room that assembly doesn’t feel tricky. Small tabs guide the coil wire right next to the screws so there’s no risk of it coming out of its housing.
The air intake is located under the coil. They’ve redesigned the air flow to optimize the flavour rendering you’d expect from tight vape, while still allowing a really wide range of settings.
The Aerokon is certainly one of the key parts of the atomizer. This long component fits inside the 510 connector under the atomizer. As you screw it in, all of the parts – which are stacked together – move up into the space below the coil. As you do that, it restricts the air flow more and more until you get a really tight draw. Conversely, the more you unscrew it, the looser the draw becomes, but it’s still indirect inhalation. The Kayfun Lite [plus] is still an MTL atomizer, whatever you do to the settings. That’s what makes this system so precise, because unlike some other products, you’re no longer limited by how many holes or inserts there are.
You can personalize every single setting to suit the type of coil and liquid you’re using, and how you feel at the time. When it comes to vaping, the Kayfun Lite [plus] doesn’t disappoint. It’s precise, dense and perfectly suited to every type of e-liquid. The addition of the larger tank makes cool vapour that works well with fruit and mint flavours. The smaller tank delivers warm vapour. But if you adjust the cooling system, you can get a warmer, denser vape. In our view, the only downside is having to fill it from the bottom. Like adjusting the air flow, you have to unscrew the atomizer from its mod, even if you’re using it for MTL. But, once you’ve found the right setting, you won’t have to change it very often. It’s worth noting that if you already have a Kayfun Lite, you can buy the Aerokon system to turn your model into a Lite Plus without buying the entire atomizer.
