The new design of the Zero 2 pod by Vaporesso is a little different from the manufacturer’s usual offerings. It’s well-built, elegant and unbelievably easy to use. As well as looking great, it works like a dream – what more could you ask for?
Beautiful and functional
The colourful casing and designer styling on the Zero 2 give it a high-end look. It’s fully automatic so it’s very easy to use and it makes great vapour – but it’s only for indirect inhalation. It’s almost perfect…

Pod design
The Zero 2 pod looks quite different from most compact pods these days. Its rounded shape is easy on the eye and makes it look high-end. On our model, the colour goes from a rich black to a subtle purplish red. It looks great, and the metallic sides add an air of solidity. The overall shape of the Zero 2 makes it comfortable to hold too. The pod grips well whether you’re holding the rounded or the flat side.
This model is all about simplicity. There are no settings to adjust and no fire button, just some LEDs set into the colourful panel to show the battery level. This is clearly visible and shows you the remaining battery life at a glance. Its 800 mAh battery puts the Zero 2 at about average compared to the competition. The USB-C connector under the edge lets you recharge the pod quickly, and the LEDs light up while charging. You can also vape while it charges.
The back of the pod is more standard and is marked with the brand and model names. This side is flat so you can put the Zero 2 down on a desk or flat surface without it tipping over. As we’ve said, the pod has been pared back to have the fewest possible functions. There are no settings to adjust, no buttons to press. Inhaling alone creates the vapour – it’s that simple.
A great cartridge
Two magnets hold the cartridge in place on the top of the battery case, and the tank fits really tightly. If you press on the tank you’ll feel slight play, but you won’t even notice that when it’s in your mouth every day. The hole next to the magnet, on the left of the picture, is for filling the tank with e-liquid. This opening is spring-mounted. When you press the tip of the bottle into the hole, liquid flows into the tank. Releasing the pressure seals it again. The Zero 2 comes with one small empty 10ml bottle – its small size makes filling the tank easy. The small size of this pod means that you’ll need to use the thinnest tips to avoid spilling e-liquid on your hands.
The cartridge is transparent and slightly tinted, so you can easily check how much liquid is left any time. The mouthpiece is shaped like a recorder mouthpiece. It feels great to vape with. We recommend using a liquid with 50% PG and 50% VG as this will soak much better into the wick inside the coil.
The kit comes with two cartridges, which are both designed for indirect inhalation (first into the mouth then into the lungs, like a tobacco cigarette). The cartridge with the red base (mesh) is 1 ohm, while the one with the black base is 1.3 ohm. Vaping with this pod is surprisingly good. The mesh coil delivers excellent results with fruity flavours. When we tried a gourmet e-liquid, we could taste the flavours clearly but the vapour was a bit cool to deliver the fullest flavours. On the other hand, the 1.3 ohm coil can hold its own. Its tighter draw makes it better suited to classic flavours and it feels more like smoking a tobacco cigarette. The Zero 2 pod delivers a great vape for anyone who wants a small, discreet lit without the hassle of adjusting settings. The only downside is the fact that it’s disposable. When the coil reaches the end of its life, you have to replace the whole cartridge to fit a new one. There are definitely better options when it comes to ecology and environmental impact … It’s a shame!
