After bringing out the Bushido V3 RDA, an excellent 22mm dripper, BP Mods unveils a box adapted for the bottom feeder. That’s exactly what they’ve done with this little wonder, the Bushido Mod.

A top quality mod

The Bushido is a mech mod that’s small, compact and practical. Powered by a 18650 battery and using an easy-to-fill bottom feeder system, it has everything to win over the hearts of vapers seeking a practical, compact kit.

A box bursting with accessories

As usual, BP Mods gives us a box with a host of spares to go with its Bushido Mod. It contains the mod, a spare bottle (without the inner tubing though), a spare button, O-rings, a contact plate and two manuals with some advice for use. This box contains everything you need and more.

The top of the mod has a 510 pin built into the body, firmly attached by two screws. As expected, the bottom of the pin has an orifice for the liquid to flow up. The deck can only comfortably take atomizers with a maximum diameter of 24mm, with 22mm being ideal. Given the quality of the mod, it’s rather a pity to limit it like this. However, the brand has preferred to stick to dimensions and weight in line with its dripper.

On the front is the fire button engraved with the brand logo and its slogan. With its sober, aesthetic, stylish design, this button elegantly blends into the body of the mod. The button travel is a bit long to start with, as the plate is very rigid, but it becomes more flexible with use and quickly becomes comfortable.

The bottom of the Bushido has an opening covered by a screwed cap allowing the bottle inside to be easily refilled. BP Mods’ simple, efficient system means no more liquid all over your fingers.

The sides of the mod have two magnetic doors, firmly held in place by small magnets but they are easy to remove. The first door allows the mod to be locked by turning the visible screw with your fingernail. This helps to prevent it from being activated by accident, in your pocket for example. With a mech mod, this is really practical, since they don’t have any electronics, and so basically can’t be locked.

Of course, we can’t emphasis enough that a mech mod doesn’t have any protection system. It’s up to the user to take the utmost care to avoid putting themselves in any danger. Close attention must be paid to the quality of the battery and its discharge rate, linked to its assembly value, to avoid any risk. Mech vaping is a serious business that should be a pleasure, not a risk for yourself or those around you.

Behind this door, the brand and the logo of the mod is marked and there is a rectangular hole that will be perfect to simply push the battery out when changing it. No need for a ribbon to pull the battery out. Simply pushing it from the back is enough.

The second door gives access to all the internal parts of the mod. This is where the squonk bottle, the battery compartment and the contact plate are found. Everything is very clean-looking and well-installed. The battery orientation is clearly marked, even though, technically-speaking, this is not necessary. The battery orientation is indicated more to ensure good contact.

BP Mods are convincing with a top-quality mod. The exterior is beautifully simple, with an attractive surface and corners. The Bushido is light-weight, compact and practical, and impeccably machined.

The bottom feeder in the spotlight

The Bushido Mod is a mod with a well-designed, efficient BF system. The squonk bottle, which unfortunately only holds 4.8ml, is attached at the top by tubing used to take the juice from the bottom to the atomizer. There is a second fastener at the bottom of the bottle attaching it to its filling hole by an O-ring system.

The filling system is actually very well designed. Just unscrew the cap, pour in the liquid and close again. No leaks and you don’t get it all over your fingers. Everything is designed for maximum efficiency. The operation is performed with the dripper upside down. You just need to be careful that the dripper isn’t full of juice before filling to avoid any leakage.

Self-taught and curious by nature, I developed my journalistic skills in the field by joining the Vaping Post in 2017. As a former smoker who converted to vaping, I immediately felt the need to understand in detail all aspects of this smoking risk reduction method that has enabled me to successfully quit smoking where previous methods had failed.
