Power at your fingertips

The Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank needs a lot of power to deliver such a high volume of vapour. This clearomizer comes with two different mesh coils, one at 0.15 ohm and another at 0.30 ohm, for an airy and flavourful vape. The top air intake prevents any leaks.

High quality design

The clearomizer is elegant in its simplicity and sturdy too. It is made of thick stainless steel. It comes with two tanks, one that holds 2 ml and one for 5 ml for more ease of use. The 810 drip tip is made of Delrin resin and feels great.

The air inlets are positioned on both sides of the clearomizer, but above the tank to prevent leaks. Adjusting the air intake is easy, thanks to the easy-to-grip knurled ring. The openings are long and wide, which makes the Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank airy. It also delivers great flavours.

To access the filling holes, just unscrew the top of the clearomizer a quarter turn. Opening it is quick and easy thanks to the engraved markings on the top cap.

The filling holes can take most e-liquid bottle tips. However, given the size of this clearomizer, we would prefer to see larger openings so you could fill the tank from a twist tip bottle.

The inside of the clearomizer tank is decorated with a delicate engraving. It shows a Centaur with his bow. The machining is neat and the details are clear.

Delicious clouds

The lower part of the clearomizer unscrews when you need to change the coil. The engravings on the base of the Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank make it easier to open. You simply insert the coil into the slot – don’t worry about which direction it’s facing. Two seals on the coil ensure that it stays in place and won’t leak.

Two coils are supplied in the box. One is a 0.15 ohm Ni80 mesh for a range of use from 80 to 120 W, and the other is a 0.30 ohm Khantal mesh for use between 40 and 60 W. Both coils work very well. The volume of vapour it makes with the 0.15 ohm coil is impressive. But a double battery box will be more useful if you want to use such high power levels. It produces dense, flavourful vapour.
It rendered the flavours of the liquids we tested it with as expected. The large air inlets keep the coil cool, and the resulting cool vape is ideal for e-liquids with fruity flavours.

The 0.30 ohm coil is also on the mark. It allows users who don’t need as much power to produce a dense and equally tasty vape. The amount of vapour is less impressive, but there’s certainly enough. The reduced airflow helps to bring out the flavours.

For ease, the 5 ml bubble tank is better if you don’t want to have to refill the tank too often.

Self-taught and curious by nature, I developed my journalistic skills in the field by joining the Vaping Post in 2017. As a former smoker who converted to vaping, I immediately felt the need to understand in detail all aspects of this smoking risk reduction method that has enabled me to successfully quit smoking where previous methods had failed.
