A pod that’s always reliable

On the side opposite the screen, a slider adjusts the airflow cooling the coil under the cartridge. When the space is fully open, you get a very restricted direct inhalation type airy draw. Conversely, the more holes you close, the tighter the draw and the closer you get to a sensation similar to a tobacco cigarette.

A USB-C port on one of the sides of the Xros 4 is used to charge the built-in 1000 mAh battery. It only takes 30 minutes to fully recharge the pod. You can also vape while it’s charging.

On the opposite side to the airflow adjustment is the fire button. It is used to produce vapour and also to adjust the power of the Xros 4. Three small lights symbolise the selected power, from the lowest to the highest with an intermediate position.

Depending on the liquid used and the desired sensation, you can vary the vaping level. A little something extra to suit individual preferences. An arc of graduated colours lights up each time the button is pressed. It also indicates the battery level.

The vapour is produced either by pressing the button or simply by inhaling. The fire button sits flush with the surface and blends into the pod perfectly. Locking is also available to transport your pod safely and avoid it being activated by accident.

The Xros 4 comes with two cartridges. The first is 0.8 ohm, and the second is 0.6 ohm for a more airy vape. The coils are both mesh and are ideal with fruity e-liquids. It’s filled from the top by removing the mouthpiece. It’s easy to do – simply press on the side of the mouthpiece to remove it. The filling hole can take most bottle tips. However, it’s better to avoid the larger tips. The capacity is 3 ml.

The Xros 4 is compatible with the Xros, Xros 3 and Xros mesh cartridges for a whole range of sensations.

As for the vaping experience, no unpleasant surprises there, it’s effective and precise. The cartridge is completely sealed with no leaks and no seepage, even with very fluid e-liquids.

Self-taught and curious by nature, I developed my journalistic skills in the field by joining the Vaping Post in 2017. As a former smoker who converted to vaping, I immediately felt the need to understand in detail all aspects of this smoking risk reduction method that has enabled me to successfully quit smoking where previous methods had failed.
review-xros-4-vaporessoThe Xros 4 is a great product. It’s ultra simple to get to grips with and only requires a few adjustments to get different vaping sensations. The cartridges are reliable and deliver really good flavours. Whether you are new to vaping or more experienced, it’s a pod that cuts to the chase. We just wish it didn’t use disposable cartridges.
