Compact and accessible pod

At the base of the Aegis Hero Q pod, a USB-C connection enables fast charging of the 1300 mAh integrated battery. While not the most powerful, it suits the compact format of the device. Charging takes about 30 minutes, and vaping is possible during this time.

At the top of the pod, a slider adjusts the airflow. This allows for a tight vape or a slightly airier draw for very restricted direct inhalation. This piece is quite small. To ease adjustment, three options are available with small clicks. Right next to the airflow adjustment, there is a loop for attaching a neck strap provided in the box.

The monochrome screen displays essential information for vaping, such as the remaining battery level, coil resistance, puff count, and selected power level.

Above the screen, a small activation button also allows for power adjustment, even though the box automatically sets a value when the cartridge is inserted. The Aegis Hero Q can reach up to 30 W, but we’ll touch on that further.

Vapor is produced either by inhaling or by pressing the activation button.

Two cartridges come with the pod. A Q cartridge with a 0.8-ohm value for use between 12 and 18 W (for a tight draw) and another with a 0.6-ohm resistance for vaping between 18 and 25 W. The latter allows very restricted direct draw when the airflow is fully open.

The capacity is 2 ml. Refilling is done by detaching the mouthpiece from the tank (pressing on the side), revealing an opening with enough room to insert the e-liquid bottle tip.

In terms of vaping, as is often the case with Geekvape, it’s very satisfying. The flavors are clear and precise. The draw is impeccable and perfectly suited for a restricted or indirect vape. Cartridge durability and flavor consistency over time are excellent. However, when using the pod above 20 W, it’s wise to have a charging system or secondary device on hand to last the entire day.
