A Pod with a Large Display

On one side of the Vinci E120 pod, there are two buttons to adjust the power and a slider to lock the fire button. This eliminates the usual need to press the fire button multiple times. The Vinci E120 can theoretically deliver up to 120 W—a supercharged maximum output unlikely to be reached without at least two 18650 batteries. Fortunately, the most power-hungry coil included only requires up to 80 W, which already puts considerable strain on the battery.

Below the locking button is a USB-C port for recharging the integrated 4500 mAh battery. While charging, the screen shows the remaining time until full charge. A new feature with the Vinci E120 is the ability to vape while charging.

On the opposite side, there’s an airflow control slider that adjusts the draw resistance. The more the slider is open, the more direct the inhale. Conversely, narrowing the opening results in a tighter draw. Still, the Vinci E120 is designed exclusively for direct-to-lung vaping, whether slightly restricted or fully open.

The color screen is large and displays the coil resistance, selected wattage, remaining battery percentage, and the time. After a few seconds of inactivity, a standby screen shows the current time.

Upon unboxing, two display themes are available. Others must be unlocked by vaping and accumulating a certain number of puffs. This design choice from the manufacturer is a bit surprising. Although most users will likely accumulate enough puffs to unlock most of the themes, the gamified approach may raise questions. It would have been preferable to have all themes available from the start for immediate personalization.

The cartridge holds 5 ml, which is consistent with the power demands and its intended use for direct-to-lung vaping. Refilling is standard, done by lifting a silicone tab. Two coils are included in the box: a 0.3-ohm PnP X for use between 32 and 42 W, and a 0.15-ohm PnP X for vaping between 60 and 80 W. PnP coils deliver excellent flavor, even at high power levels, particularly with fruit-flavored e-liquids. The vape remains consistently cool.

In Summary

Pros:

  • Flavor quality
  • Battery life
  • Removable coils
  • Ease of use

Self-taught and curious by nature, I developed my journalistic skills in the field by joining the Vaping Post in 2017. As a former smoker who converted to vaping, I immediately felt the need to understand in detail all aspects of this smoking risk reduction method that has enabled me to successfully quit smoking where previous methods had failed.
review-vinci-e120-voopooThe Vinci E120 is a solid pod device aimed at direct-to-lung vaping. The removable coils provide excellent flavor throughout the power range. The 4500 mAh battery allows for long vape sessions. However, the maximum power rating feels somewhat unrealistic.
