A great pod for flavor
The PureMax 2 pod uses temperature control to vaporize e-liquid — a feature that was long reserved for rebuildable devices requiring extensive setup. Its main advantage is the elimination of dry hits, that unpleasant burnt taste well known to vapers when the tank runs low on liquid. It’s a reliable system that preserves flavor integrity.

A pod that prevents dry hits
Located on the bottom of the PureMax 2, a USB-C port allows for fast charging of the built-in 1300 mAh battery — a capacity well suited to the pod’s format.
On one side of the PureMax 2, a sliding control adjusts the airflow that cools the coil. This allows the user to modify the inhalation experience, ranging from a tight draw to a much airier one. It’s designed to work with the various cartridges offered by the manufacturer. The adjustment is precise and stays firmly in place.
The color screen displays essential information such as coil resistance, puff count, and selected power output.
The PureMax 2 offers several well-designed menu options. Users can choose between auto-draw activation (inhaling) or pressing the fire button — or even keep both options active. There’s also a display customization feature. We particularly appreciate the Pure Tech technology, which alerts the user when the cartridge is low on liquid, thus preventing the unpleasant dry hit sensation. The PureMax 2 operates on a temperature control basis, preserving flavor quality and minimizing cotton degradation.
The cartridge filling system of the PureMax 2 differs from typical pod designs. The Liquid-Lock is a kind of propeller at the top of the tank. Turning this part unlocks access to the filling port.
With the slimmer mouthpiece, intended for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping, this maneuver can be done by hand. With the wider mouthpiece, designed for restricted direct-to-lung (RDL) vaping, notches at the base of the drip tip facilitate the operation. A simple rotation of the mouthpiece grants access.
The supplied cartridge comes with a 0.6-ohm coil, more suited for restricted direct-to-lung vaping, though MTL use is still possible.
Once access is unlocked, the transparent cap is lifted to reveal the filling port. The Px Pro 2 cartridge is compatible with most e-liquid bottle tips.
When vaping, the PureMax 2 performs excellently. Flavors are faithfully rendered with all the aromatic nuances of an e-liquid. The simplicity of the menu, allowing power adjustment without complex sub-menus, is ideal for beginners. The anti-dry-hit system is a bonus, letting users experience temperature control vaping without the need for more advanced equipment.
