More simplicity
To appeal to smokers, Aspire made several simplifications that perfectly fit to the PockeX. Its use has been simplified: filing, firing and vaping. In consequence, it lacks sophistication: no adjustable airflow nor adjustable voltage. But the smoker is already very busy with nicotine withdrawal, no need to add to his pain. What is important is an efficient e-cigarette that prevents craving for tobacco. So why not? The gamble may pay off is the result is there. And I believe it is there.
To be straightforward, PockeX Pocket AIO (all-in-one) is composed of the excellent Nautilus X mounted on a tubular 1500 mAh battery. Aspire includes a micro-USB wire to charge, two U Tech resistance coils of 0.6 Ω and a tiny user manual with didactic pictures.
Handling the PokeX is pleasant. Its reduced size, only 117 mm long and 19 mm in diameter, are not the sole assets. It reduced weight, only 86 g is one of the most remarkable features. Its micro-usb plug located under to tube allows vaping while charging the device.
Its finish, without being excellent, remains in the average. The Fire jingles a little bit but the screw threads are of a good quality and the overall design looks robust.

Airflow holes, almost invisible, are located under the top cap. They are not adjustable but it doesn’t impede its use since the original setting is perfect. The PockeX only allows mouth-to-lung vaping. Direct Lung inhalation is still possible but its narrow drip-tip requires you to inhale extra air by opening your mouth. In fact, it is not designed for this vaping style.
Vaping is satisfying
The 2 ml of juice are added in the Pyrex tank by the top. You need to screw the coil in the top cap, to fill up the tank and to screw the top cap on the tank. To be fully operational, the user manual recommends waiting for 5 minutes for a first use.
Be careful to to screw the coil in the wrong way. The side with the hole for the air flow must be screwed in the top cap. Liquid supply holes are wide enough to cope with high VG blends.
Another aspect of simplicity with the PockeX is its non variable voltage of 4.2 V when charged. It is not possible to adjust the temperature of the coil. Once again, this is convenient for beginners. For experimented vapers, the power (29 W) is large enough to make the PockeX a secondary device.
The feeling is good with a large volume of vapor and a good rendering of flavors.
In summary
The “+”:
- Easy to use
- Overall good quality
- Large volume of vapor
- Good rendering of flavors
- No leekage
- Top filling
- Good autonomy
- Quiet clearomizer
- Good value for money
The “-“:
- Tank: 2 ml
- Proprietary Drip-tip
- Non-adjustable Airflow
- The body becomes warm
- Non variable voltage
Conclusions
Rating 3.5/5. As pointed out earlier, Aspire thought about smokers and beginner vapers. Quitting smoking is already hard, no need to complicate the task with a technical device. And the targets were met by Aspire that offers an all-in-one kit of an overall good quality and efficient for a reasonable price around €25.
This is the 2nd problem I’ve had with the Pockex. With my first issue I was communicating with China, unknown to me, and the person told me to contact the US. But guess what??? She didn’t offer anyone or a contact number. After trying several contacts online, deadend after deadend. I just kept getting referred to other places again with no one giving me contact info.
I CANNOT believe how I CAN’T find a contact for this company. I have a Pockex vape pen that turns on by itself. about a week ago I woke up, grabbed my vape pen as I was heading out the door, when I turned it on after charging there was an AWFUL throat burn. After inspecting it I realized the atomizer was half burnt out inside. Although this hadn’t happened before, I replaced the atomizer and went about my day. Today, my vape pen button lite up all by itself and the pen made that ignite noise of heating up so you can vape. I couldn’t get it to stop so I keep pressing the button and it finally turned off.
This pen is clearly malfunctioning in the most dangerous way possible and I want it out of my possession. If I don’t hear from anyone by 3pm on 10/23/2017 I am disposing of this product. And will never buy products from this company again or recommend Aspire to ANYONE! I don’t even know why I’m writing this because clearly this company doesn’t care otherwise their would be contact info.
Wat do u mean screw the coil in the wrong way?
Be sure to screw the coil in the wrong way? Typo?
I got it an I love it. Have not touched a cigarette in two weeks. But I payed 40USD and not 25 as the article says.
Thats because its 25 euros. Its made in England. You paid about the right amount. Mine was about $36 USD. 🙂
Great write up, enjoyed seeing the disassembled parts.
