Small but mighty
With a diameter of only 20mm, the Z MTL may seem a bit tame. However, behind its small size lurk excellent performances. Using this little leak-proof clearomizer on a daily basis is particularly comfortable.

Solid top airflow
The top part of the Z MTL has a 510 format mouthpiece, ideal for mouth to lung vaping (like smoking a cigarette). The mouthpiece is narrow with an inner diameter of 4mm for a total length of 18.4mm. A second drip tip is supplied in the box. The clearomizer is a top airflow. The air inlets are positioned just under the top cap and direct the airflow downwards into the coil. Two series of three adjustable holes reduce or increase the airflow for a looser or tighter effect.
The tank containing 2ml is protected by a thick metal panel. A Z-shaped cut-out shows the level of liquid remaining in the clearomizer. It is both practical and aesthetically pleasing. The most fragile parts of the Z MTL are not easily damaged, which explains why it only comes with one tank in the box.
Access to the tank is particularly practical. To fill your clearomizer, simply turn the top cap through a quarter turn. The filling holes are the right size for a 20 mm diameter clearomizer. However, you’ll find the narrowest bottle tips make filling much easier. A thick O-ring makes the Z MTL completely leak-proof.
Genuine MTL
Fitting the coil is easy, just like all the other operations on the Z MTL. Simply unscrew the base of the clearomizer to access the compartment. The threads are good quality and the O-rings work perfectly. The coil slides between two metal lugs. Fitting it is facilitated by the flat bottom of the coil, allowing it to be pushed right into the slot. Once in place, it doesn’t move. Once again, the Z MTL is perfectly leak-proof. This is great, especially if you’re a vaping newbie.
Two resistance coils are supplied in the box. An 0.8ohm series A coil for a usage range of 12 to 16W and a 1.2ohm coil for vaping between 8 and 12W. The Z MTL is designed for mouth to lung vaping but with the 0.8ohm coil, restricted direct vaping is possible, provided that the airflow ring is completely open. If you like a more dynamic MTL, you can use this coil for a more punchy experience. When you use the 1.2ohm coil with a single airflow hole open on each side, you get a very restricted draw. The vaping experience doesn’t disappoint.
The flavours are excellent. The coils have a very good lifetime and can easily take liquids with 70% VG and 30% PG. We prefer the 0.8ohm coil, which is a bit more reactive. The other coil is still satisfactory and accurately delivers the aromatic spectrum of the liquids tested.
The Z MTL is a very good clearomizer for a beginner or for fans of top airflow who want to avoid issues with condensation or leaks.
