A practical box

The top of the LiMAX box has a spring-mounted 510 connector. The kit comes with the Zenith II clearomizer, which has a diameter of 26mm. It is not possible to fit a larger atomizer. However, with this diameter, the box is compatible with most of the equipment on the market, especially if you don’t exceed 60W.

Under the box, five vent holes give added safety in case there is a problem with the built-in battery. The LiMAX box has all the usual protection systems you would expect on an electronic box, of course. The battery capacity is 3000mAh, an excellent average to vape all day long at moderate power. For example, if you vape at 20W with 2-second puffs, the battery will last almost 1000 puffs, or 33 minutes of continuous use. The combination with the Zenith II therefore makes sense, and it doesn’t need charging too often.

On the side of the box is the fire button, a monochrome screen and two buttons to adjust the power. Just below, a USB-C port allows fast charging of the LiMAX. The assembly and adjustments of the buttons are impeccable. The fire button makes a dull click when pressed. It is loud enough to be able to tell when you have pressed it, but not so much that it gets annoyingly noisy.

The box is entirely covered in a zinc alloy. The design is modern and machined with dots, giving it a texture that feels nice to hold. The weight of the box inspires confidence. It doesn’t slide in your hand. Only the top part of the box is connected to another part (which includes the 510 connector). The entire circumference of the LiMAX is made in one piece.

The LiMAX menu is as simple as they come. Goodbye different temperature controls and bypass modes. The LiMAX has just one menu in watts. The settings couldn’t be easier. The box delivers from 6 to 60W in 0.5W increments. To change the value, pressing and holding the “+” or “-” button unlocks the selected value. Then you can change it. This way of adjusting the wattage avoids unintended changes occurring during transport. It is almost impossible for the value to be changed while the box is in a bag or a pocket. Simple and practical!

The screen is bright enough and all the essential information can be seen at first glance.

An acclaimed clearomizer

The LiMAX kit comes with the Zenith II, a reference in the clearomizer world. Easy to use and versatile, it offers the possibility of mouth to lung and restricted direct to lung vaping. We won’t go over the details of it again, as we already covered them in our review of the Coolfire Z80 kit which also has it. The Zenith II is fitted with 0.8ohm and a 0.3ohm resistance coils.

The LiMAX kit is a very good kit. It is easy to use, robust and well-finished. Whether you are a newbie looking for a simple box or a more experienced user seeking practicality, the LiMAX kit is ideal for vaping up to 60W.

review-limax-innokinThe LiMAX kit by Innokin is an excellent choice to get into vaping simply and easily or for daily use without the least adjustment necessary. The box is robust and stylish with good battery life. The Zenith II clearomizer is right up there too, thanks to the versatility it offers for restricted direct to lung or MTL vaping.
