The PureMax is a pod which offers the possibility to vape in temperature control mode without worrying about the many settings adjustments this mode requires. Simple, with no buttons but with four operating powers, the PureMax delivers an excellent vape. The 4 ml cartridge is an advantage. The only downside is the battery life!

An effective vaping experience
A USB-C port on the bottom of the PureMax allows fast charging of the built-in 1050 mAh battery. This is slightly less than the average for systems of this format despite the 4 ml cartridge. In itself, 1050 mAh is sufficient with coils from 0.8 ohm (with the manufacturer’s PX20 and PX12 cartridges).
However, with the PX25, at 0.6 ohm, the battery life is not sufficient to consider using it continuously for a whole day. The PureMax would have to be charged or you would have to use it in combination with another pod.
The PureMax has four power levels that are selected using a button. Each power level is symbolised by an LED. The lowest level is the one closest to the button. With the 0.6 ohm coil, the first power level corresponds to 14.5 W then 16 W for the second, 18.5 W for the third and finally 22 W for the last one. The LEDs also indicate the available battery level.
There is a small slide that is used to adjust the airflow. It is firm and doesn’t move by itself.
The cartridge is fitted on the top of the battery. Its shape and the build quality mean there is a tight fit between the two parts. The cartridge is sufficiently transparent to be able to see the remaining e-liquid level without having to remove it. The mouthpiece feels really comfortable on your lips and has an oval opening inside.
Filling the tank is standard. You have to lift a silicone tab to access the filling hole. You are strongly advised to use narrow bottle tips to avoid any spillage. The 4 ml capacity is comfortable for a system in this format. We didn’t notice any leaks or seepage during our test phases.
The PureMax comes with one cartridge. However, it is compatible with the 0.8 ohm PX 20 and the 1.2 ohm PX 12, depending on the type of draw you want. The cartridges are disposable. The coil can’t be changed when the flavours start to deteriorate.
Nothing to report when it comes to vaping. The flavours it delivers are clear, strong and detailed. The draw is pleasant and vapour production is consistent with the corresponding cartridge. With 4 ml, you don’t need to fill it up too often, unless you’re using the 0.6 ohm coil, which not only consumes more liquid, but is also very power hungry for a built-in 1050 mAh battery.
The chipset has the PURE mode which avoids a dry hit. It detects the remaining e-liquid level and stops when the cartridge is empty. It’s a temperature control that can be found on boxes for advanced use.
During our tests, this mode was particularly effective.
