As its name suggests, the Proteus Mini is smaller than its predecessor, the Proteus, but it is no less effective. While the capacity and the integrated battery life are reduced, it proves to be more practical to carry when wanting to share a vape session with friends. It is an excellent, ultra-reliable product.

A portable hookah experience
The Proteus Mini is truly compact at just 90 mm in height. It weighs only 193 g with its 3000 mAh integrated battery and 10 ml tank. Its rounded design and discreet details contribute to a seamless fit on any hookah model. On one side, a USB-C connector allows for fast charging.
Beneath the Proteus Mini, there is a circular space to place the device on the upper part of your hookah. The kit comes with two large conical gaskets, allowing use with any hookah model, even those with a thin upper part. This detail is appreciated and guarantees immediate use.
The top part of the Proteus Mini houses the tank. A circle of LEDs lights up when the device is in use. It is perfectly integrated, and the lighting makes an impact at the top of the hookah without resembling a flashing garland. Once again, Aspire’s expertise in combining design with excellent finishes is evident in this new product.
On the main face, a screen displays essential information. The largest button allows for adjusting brightness, turning the Proteus Mini on and off. Below that, two smaller buttons adjust the power from 5 to 80 W. The remaining battery level is easily readable, as is the puff count. The screen also indicates the ohmic value of the coil. Vapor is produced simply by inhaling.
The tank houses the coil dedicated to the Proteus Mini. It features a large flat section that makes electrical contact with the body of the device. Its value is 0.25 ohms for direct-lung, open-draw vaping only. The Proteus Mini is compatible with the Proteus Neo Meshed 0.17-ohm coil for an even more open vape.
When the coil is inserted, the electronics automatically recognize its value and suggest an appropriate power level. Filling is done by lifting the silicone flap. The pod accepts all types of bottle tips, with ample space. The 10 ml capacity can be easily filled. During our tests, we did not observe any leaks or seepage.
The top of the pod features a rotating ring to adjust the amount of air cooling the coil. Depending on the setting, you can achieve a more or less open draw, which is easy to adjust without removing the Proteus Mini from the hookah. It’s very simple.
Once positioned on the hookah, the Proteus Mini stays securely in place. There is no air leakage to report.
In terms of vaping, this is a superb product for vaping on a traditional hookah. No need for coal or tobacco, which are known for their harmful health effects. The 3000 mAh battery is sufficient for long vape sessions, and the 10 ml capacity is ideal for regularly changing flavors. The vapor volume is substantial and suitable for direct-lung use, just like a hookah. The flavors are exceptional: fine and detailed, bringing out all the vape aromas. The Proteus Mini can be easily transported once you’re done using it.
