Review: Trine SE – Innokin

New pod with removable battery from Innokin. The Trine SE is an even simpler version to use than the first model of the same name. A fully automatic pod to start vaping under the best conditions.

A pod that is even more accessible

The Trine SE is an easy-to-use pod. It does not include any firing or power adjustment button. Only a small LED on the main face of the pod indicates the battery level and proper functioning of the device.

Simplicity and ecology

On one side of the Trine SE, a USB-C connector allows for quick recharging of the removable 1000 mAh battery. While the autonomy is not the most substantial in this pod format, it is possible to use several batteries that can easily be carried anywhere. A dedicated charger even offers the possibility of charging two batteries simultaneously.

A slider on the side opposite the USB-C connector makes it easy to adjust the airflow that cools the coil. Fully open, you can vape in a very restricted direct-to-lung mode. Conversely, by blocking the airflow inlets, the draw becomes much tighter for mouth-to-lung inhalation.

Vapor production occurs by simple inhalation. The Trine SE is very responsive, with no latency or disruption in the airflow.

A major feature of the Trine SE is the removable battery. Let us highlight the manufacturer’s consideration of the ecological impact of its products. For several years, Innokin has been committed to reducing waste by using recyclable materials. A removable battery, a novelty in the pod market, is a particularly practical asset in daily life. Thus, even if the Trine SE does not have the most significant autonomy, this system largely compensates by allowing you to keep a single pod but several batteries.

The Trine SE pod comes with a sealed cartridge with a resistance value of 0.8 ohms. This ohmic value allows for very restricted direct draws when the airflow is fully open and indirect draws in a more closed configuration. An excellent alternative for trying out two types of draws. The tank can hold 2 ml of liquid, a measure consistent with the pod’s format. Filling is done by removing the mouthpiece to access the filling port.

The flavors are excellent, regardless of the liquid used. You can go from a warm vape with restricted draws to a cooler one for more open settings. No false notes are to be found.

Self-taught and curious by nature, I developed my journalistic skills in the field by joining the Vaping Post in 2017. As a former smoker who converted to vaping, I immediately felt the need to understand in detail all aspects of this smoking risk reduction method that has enabled me to successfully quit smoking where previous methods had failed.
review-trine-se-innokinThe Trine SE is a very good pod for starting vaping. It requires no adjustments and produces quality vapor. It is a good model for trying both tight and slightly more open draws without ever being overly cloudy. The removable battery is an excellent feature. The disposable cartridge is a drawback.
